Entry Profile

The Humanities and Social Sciences stream of the Spanish high school diploma or equivalent is particularly suitable for future Pedagogy students, although the programme may be accessed with all types of further education diplomas.

Students wishing to study Pedagogy are recommended to possess:

  1. A vocation for educational and instructional topics
  2. A predisposition for analysis, reflection and creativity
  3. A critical approach and concern for social transformation and changes
  4. An inclination for relationships, dialogue and communication
  5. A predisposition for teamwork
  6. An awareness of the personal advantages and disadvantages of professional duties linked to education and training
  7. Values linked to how democracy works: responsibility, tolerance, commitment, solidarity, etc.

Admission mark calculation
For programmes with limited places, the entrance mark for courses will be calculated in accordance with the following criteria:
(1) For entry with high-school diploma or equivalent (PAU: university entrance exam) , the entrance mark is calculated (out of 14 points) with the entrance mark and the two best weighted marks from passed subjects, in accordance with the weighting parameters.
(2) For entry with a higher vocational qualification , the entrance mark is calculated (out of 14 points) with the average from the training course and the two best weighted marks from subjects passed in the PAU entrance block, in accordance with the weighting parameters.
