Applying with Overseas Qualifications
Students who have completed—or partially completed—studies at a non-Spanish institution and wish to take a programme at the UIB must follow different procedures, depending on what kind of qualifications they have.
With Pre-university Overseas Qualifications
Students with non-Spanish pre-university qualifications who wish to take an undergraduate degree programme at a Spanish university must fulfil the set admission requirements. The following table sets out these requirements alongside the corresponding documentation to be submitted, and whether or not a university entrance exam is required.

With partially- or fully-completed university studies that are not validated or do not have an equivalent
According to article 30 of Royal Decree 412/2017 those who have either partially or fully completed a university study programme but who have not had these studies validated by the Spanish state, may request a seat in an undergraduate study programme.
In order to participate in this admission process, you must have passed at least 30 credits; and to be granted admission, at least 30 of these credits must have been taken in a field of study similar to that which will be studied in Spain.
With a degree from a foreign university validated as or equivalent to a Spanish undergraduate (grau) degree
Students with a foreign degree that has been validated or is recognized as equivalent to a Spanish undergraduate (grau) degree can gain access to the university in the same way as a Spanish university graduate can. These students cannot use the same admission process as that which is used by students with partial foreign studies.
The process of validating a foreign degree or declaring it equal to an officially recognized Spanish university degree is carried out by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. See here for more information on getting a degree validated.
Exchange students
Exchange programmes at the UIB, in general, do not provide admission to official undergraduate study programmes. Nevertheless, specific agreements may exist that allow exchange students to obtain a degree.
