How to get to the campus and the university headquarters
Public transport allows you to access the campus by means of various combinations of bus, train and/or underground, depending on your place of departure. The timetables should be checked regularly, as they change at the weekends, during school breaks and in summer.
The no. 19 bus connects Palma to the univerity campus. There are also inter-urban buses that run between the UIB and other towns in Mallorca. Lines L200 (Estellencs-Esporles-Palma) and L210 (Sóller-Valldemossa-Palma) both stop at the campus. Calvià Town Council has a bus for UIB students and during the June sessions of the entrance exam period, it offers a free transport service, adapted for the PBAU exams at the UIB, to travel to and from Calvià and the UIB.
If you are in Menorca or Ibiza, you can also reach the university headquarters by bus.
The M1 metro line links the centre of Palma to the campus.
The different train lines in Majorca (Inca, Sa Pobla, Manacor) and the Sóller train allow combinations with other means of transport in order to reach the campus. They all terminate at Plaça d'Espanya in Palma.
There is a 5 km bike lane from the city to the UIB campus.
If you prefer to use private transport in a way that helps the environment and saves money, use the UIB Transport Pool. There are also other transport pools at Palma City Council and the Council of Majorca.
