In order to be awarded the Master’s Degree in Educational Technology: e-Learning and Knowledge Management, students need to pass 60 credits, as follows:
- 9 credits from mandatory subjects which cover the necessary theory and methodology foundations for innovation and research in this field. They provide the tools for students to communicate findings and present them to different types of audiences
- 30 elective credits to be chosen from elective subjects grouped into four blocks:
- Research in educational technology and knowledge management (12 credits)
- DT in educational processes and settings (39 credits)
- Information and knowledge management (9 credits)
- Professional development linked to DT (9 credits)
- 6 credits from external academic placements which may be undertaken at educational institutions (either on-site, online or blended) or e-learning companies. Placements are geared towards students applying the skills acquired throughout the programme in real-life settings
- 15 credits from the master’s thesis.
This is an interuniversity master's degree jointly coordinated by Rovira i Virgili University, the University of Lleida, the University of Murcia, and the University of the Balearic Islands, and thus it has a common website.
