Learning Goals
The Master’s Degree in Equality Policies and Gender-Based Violence Prevention offers postgraduate-level training in policies on equality and the prevention of violence against women. International, national and regional legal frameworks recognise that trained professionals are required to work in the field of gender equality and violence against women, as well as the need to develop new professional profiles or strengthen current ones (such as equal opportunities agents) who are able to undertake different activities as defined in current laws.
In this sense, the training responds to a strategic opportunity related to the social climate and the training requirements for future professionals, all within the current legislative framework. The programme curriculum is designed for students to acquire an advanced level of professional specialisation for equality and gender-based violence policies.
Graduate Profile
The master’s programme provides knowledge, skills and abilities to acquire a solid advanced foundation in equality policies and gender-based violence prevention. Graduates will obtain multidisciplinary skills in these areas, transforming them into qualified experts in designing, managing, coordinating, promoting, implementing, overseeing and assessing all types of plans, programmes, projects and campaigns regarding equal opportunities and gender-based violence prevention.
