This master’s programme focuses on improving analytical skills and acquiring knowledge and abilities that promote lifelong development processes in different family and co-habitation settings. In addition, it covers the use of preventive and family intervention/mediation strategies for conventional, non-conventional, special needs and psychosocial risk scenarios.
What skills will you acquire?
El Màster en Intervenció Socioeducativa amb Infància, Adolescència i Família té com a objectiu proporcionar una bàsica i sòlida formació en conceptes, estratègies i tècniques per intervenir professionalment amb famílies, mitjançant el desenvolupament dels conceptes propis de la intervenció pedagògica i socioeducativa, i el coneixement i l'aplicació de les intervencions i tècniques dels principals models d'intervenció amb famílies.
What career opportunities will you have?
Graduates from the Master’s Degree in Socio-educational Intervention for Children, Adolescents and Families have two main options:
- Applying for admission to PhD studies and, in particular, programmes at the University of the Balearic Islands and, specifically, the PhD in Education programme.
- Joining the professional sphere: basic and specialised social services, whether they are provided publicly, by social initiatives or privately, for early childhood, adolescence and/or families, with preventive and socio-educational intervention approaches. In addition, education and culture services that run programmes for early childhood, adolescence and/or families. Based on information provided by previous graduates, the following career prospects are also available: socio-educational specialists at town councils or supra-municipal bodies, socio-educational professionals in child protective services or centres (public or private), socio-educational intervention specialists for early childhood, adolescence and families at tertiary institutions, family meeting and mediation specialists at public organisations, technicians and professionals who work with vulnerable families or those at risk of social exclusion, workers at early childhood or adolescent care foundations.
