The objective of the degree in economics is to provide the theoretical and practical knowledge and the abilities necessary to analyse the economic reality that surrounds us, and thus, confront the continuously varying challenges that it poses. The programme aims to train professionals who are able to carry out tasks such as management, consultancy, and assessment via the study of different types of institutions, public policies, and relationships between different economic agents in the business and economic world.
What skills will you acquire?
Graduates from the Economics programme will acquire, amongst others, the capabilities necessary to be a practical person with organization and adaptation skills, a critical point of view, abilities for identifying and foreseeing relevant economic problems, and the ability to argue about and select between different solutions to these problems and evaluate the results.
What profile should you have?
The Degree in Economics is suitable for those interested in developing a professional career in any area of economics, business or public administration, as well as for those interested in analysing all types of social problems (the environment, poverty and development, globalisation, etc.). Students on the degree must possess intellectual curiosity and an ability to analyse and adapt. They should be willing to work steadily and responsibly, undertake teamwork and foster interpersonal relationships.
