The main aim of the Degree in Social Education programme is to train professionals in the theoretical and practical knowledge that enables them to work effectively, critically and responsibly in the following fields: family education; community development; social integration; leisure education; cultural coordination and management; social and educational intervention for children and youths; social and educational intervention for adults and seniors, and finally, the field of educational intervention in diversity. In turn, students will acquire the ability to understand, speak and write in English.

  • CE2 Being familiar with the social welfare policies and legislation that support socio-educational intervention processes.
  • CE3 Knowing the pedagogical and biopsychosocial assumptions which are the basis of socio-educational processes, as well as the core characteristics of intervention environments.
  • CE4 Applying socio-educational procedures and techniques for intervention, mediation and the analysis of personal, family and social realities.
  • CE5 Managing structures, processes and programmes to foster community action and engagement.
  • CE6 Identifying and diagnosing the most common factors of family and social crisis, as well as developing the necessary mediation skills to address conflicts in socio-educational communities.
