This degree programme will provide students with training that will ensure that they acquire basic legal knowledge.
What skills will you acquire?
This degree programme promotes curiosity and ambition for reaching advanced levels of knowledge, and it provides practical training in the competences and abilities necessary for carrying out any of the set of legal professions like, for example, presenting and explaining ideas; proposing orderly, concise, and accurate legal solutions; managing legal resources; understanding and analysing legal texts; having critical ability; and utilizing information technologies.
What profile should you have?
The Degree in Law is aimed at students from any discipline, since taking the course fundamentally requires the following abilities: Analysis and Reflection; Verbal and Written Comprehension; and Verbal and Written Communication.
What career opportunities will you have?
You will be able to work as a lawyer or attorney (upon completing the corresponding Master’s programme and passing the federal proficiency exam), judge, prosecutor, court clerk, notary, registrar, state’s attorney, tax or labour inspector, specialist in the civil administration of the state or the autonomous communities, diplomat, civil servant in international institutions (after being selected from the corresponding call), legal adviser for businesses or unions or other organizations, university professor for legal subjects (after completing a doctorate degree and being selected from the corresponding call), etc.

Travel and Learn
The UIB offers students the chance to take part in different exchange and mobility programmes:
- Exchange and mobility programmes: to complete part of your studies at another university in Spain, the European Union, and around the world, or to get work experience at businesses in the European Union, managed by the International Relations Service.
- Volunteer work experience and projects with university development cooperation programmes in least developed countries, run through the development cooperation programmes managed by the Cooperation for Development and Solidarity Office (OCDS).
