The Degree in Business Administration aims to provide the necessary knowledge and skills for business administration and management. The programme intends to train professionals who, with solid economic knowledge, are able to carry out administration and management, analysis, and advisory tasks whether at SMEs or at TNCs. In turn, the programme is aimed at both general management and each of the functional areas in a business: production, human resources, finances, marketing, administration and accounts. The skills graduates will attain include: the ability to analyse a business in its environment and identify and anticipate market opportunities; assign and distribute available resources; gather, organise, interpret and transmit relevant information; hire and motivate staff, take decisions and teamwork, and adapt to new technologies and new economic realities. In order to ensure success in an ever more globalised world, students will acquire the ability to understand, speak and write in English.

Pathway in English

The pathway offers students in the faculty the chance to study a wide number of subjects in the syllabus in English, as well as to spend some time at a foreign university where they can study in English, too.

Students will be awarded the Pathway in English certificate if they take at least 100 ECTS of the degree in English, and:

  • Take a minimum of 60 ECTS in the first three years (including core training and compulsory subjects),
  • Complete a term abroad at a foreign university, studying in English for at least one semester, and
  • Write the degree thesis in English.

The subject 'Business English' will be accredited to those students who take the Pathway in English.

The European Diploma Supplement will state the number of credits, subjects, stays, etc. taken in English, even for those students who fail to meet the criteria necessary to be awarded the Pathway in English certificate.

  1. Acquiring and understanding knowledge in the area of business administration and management from a basis of general secondary education to a level which, although based on advanced textbooks, also includes some aspects that involve knowledge of business administration and management at the vanguard.
  2. Knowing how to apply business and tourism administration and management knowledge in the workplace professionally and having the skills that are generally shown in producing and defending arguments and problem solving.
    1. Analysing a business in its environment by using different technical tools.
