She was graduated in Sociology from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She has a PhD in Educational Sciences from the Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB). Currently is working as a Lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy at the UIB, undergraduate and postgraduate courses related to Sociology of Education.
Her research lines are Social Pedagogy and Sociology of Education, including educational intervention with families, community intervention, youth employment, and the educational system (http://dpde.uib.es/anuari/).
Her doctoral thesis (2004) focused on the evaluation of educational intervention programs for inclusion of young people and of persons exposed to exclusion from the labour market. Since 2005, she has been member of Social and Educational Training and Research Group (GIFES) (http://gifes.uib.eu). Within GIFES, she has participated in competitive research projects related to strengthening family programs and drug addiction prevention (http://www.competenciafamiliar.com/).
Since 2009 to 2016, she has been the deputy dean for the degree in Social Education at the Faculty of Education.
