Entry Profile
To ensure easier adaptation for new students, the following personal and academic characteristics are specified for the ideal candidate on the curriculum, which are closely linked to the Nursing graduate profile:
- An interest in scientific knowledge, aspects linked to health and social problems. A social and ethical commitment.
- An ability for observation, empathy, communication and interpersonal relations. Teamwork. An ability for analysis and reflection, problem solving and taking decisions.
- Skilled in oral and written expression in Spanish and Catalan. Skilled in handling basic computer tools. An ability to understand, speak and write in English.

- Students who have passed a university entrance exam or similar (1)
- Higher vocational graduates (2). Applications from candidates with an advanced VET diploma in the degree programme's area of knowledge will be given preference. Please see the links (Spanish).
- Those who have passed the over-25s entrance examination Students who have passed the test in the following option will be given preference: Health Sciences
- University graduates
- Those who have passed the over-45s entrance examination
- University programmes started at another UIB campus
- Certain students holding a 'batxiller' or equivalent high school diploma without the PAU entrance exam
- Official Spanish university studies already begun
- Overseas university studies already begun or finished without being officially accredited
Admission mark calculation
The entrance mark

for courses will be calculated in accordance with the following criteria:

For entry with high-school diploma or equivalent (PAU: university entrance exam)
, the entrance mark is calculated (out of 14 points) with the entrance mark and the
two best weighted marks from passed subjects, in
accordance with the weighting parameters.

For entry with a higher vocational qualification
, the entrance mark is calculated (out of 14 points) with the average from the training
course and the two best weighted marks from
subjects passed in the PAU entrance block, in accordance with the weighting parameters.

Accreditation of English Skills
In order to be awarded the degree, students must show that they have reached a level of English by the end of their course that equates to level B2 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), in accordance with how this requirement is stipulated in the curriculum. The different ways to attain this are:
- passing the specific English language course on the curriculum.
- handing in a certificate or accreditation, recognised by the UIB, which shows the student has obtained a minimum level of English equivalent to B2 in the CEFR.
- passing a set number of subjects taught in English on the degree course.
- passing a set number of subjects taught in English on a mobility programme.
