Brief CV

Patricia García-Pazo: Graduated in Nursing (1995) and Degree in Psychology (2001) from the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), Master's degree in General Health Psychology (2017) and PhD in Health Sciences (2022).

In her formation as a nurse, she is an expert in Emergencies and Health Care in Catastrophes, UIB (1998) and postgraduate degree in Critical Care from the Complutense University of Madrid (2007).

Professionally, she has worked for 23 years in Intensive Care Units in different hospitals of the Balearic Public Health System. In the field of psychology she has worked in crisis intervention. The General Council of Colleges of Psychologists accredits her nationally as an 'expert psychologist in Psychology in Emergencies and Catastrophes'. She is currently part of the Group of Psychological Intervention in Emergencies and Catastrophes of the Balearic Islands (GIPECIB).

Since 2018 she has been working as an assistant lecturer in the Department of Nursing and Physiotherapy at the UIB. The General Council of Colleges of Psychologists accredits her nationally as an 'expert psychologist in Psychology in Emergencies and Catastrophes'. She is currently part of the Group of Psychological Intervention in Emergencies and Catastrophes of the Balearic Islands (GIPECIB).

Since 2018, she has been working as an assistant lecturer in the Department of Nursing and Physiotherapy at the UIB. She is enrolled in the PhD programme in Health Sciences 'Translational Research in Public Health and High Prevalence Diseases'.

Currently, she teaches the following subjects: Applied Psychosocial Sciences in Health (22701), Applied Psychosocial Sciences in Physiotherapy (22763) and Adult Nursing VI (22703). She has also tutored Final Degree Projects (TFG) in Nursing (22730).

During her research activity, she has been a member of the Scientific Autonomous Committee of the National Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Plan of the Spanish Society of Intensive and Critical Care Medicine and Coronary Units. She collaborates in several health research and teaching innovation projects. She has published in international journals referenced in the Journal Citation Report (JCR), ranked Q1-Q2. He has published in international journals referenced in the Journal Citation Report (JCR), ranked Q1-Q2. She has also participated in numerous national and international scientific conferences.

Involved in knowledge transfer, she has co-authored several psychoeducational books tales such as: 'Hem viscut sa torrentada' (Catalan version), 'Una riada inesperada' (Spanish version) and 'Las curiosidades de Juan, conoce el truco de las enfermeras', also published in Catalan.

Participates in the technical scientific advice for the adaptation of the drug prevention program 'LA TEVA DECIDEIXES' of the Institut Europeu d'Estudis En Prevenció (IREFREA).
