The Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics is mainly aimed at equipping students with the necessary knowledge and the appropriate professional practices so that they can acquire the skills and abilities that will enable them to pursue a career within the field of Nutrition and Dietetics, and to ensure that they are prepared to perform in different areas, in activities whose primary goal is to enhance the eating habits and overall nutrition of individuals or groups, in line with basic public health and prevention principles.
The programme in Human Nutrition and Dietetics qualifies graduates to work in a regulated profession. They are therefore designed in accordance with the requirements set out in Order CIN/730/2009.
What skills will you acquire?
The curriculum for the Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics is designed to provide students with the inherent skills required to be a dietician and nutritionist, in accordance with Order CIN/730/2009 of 18th March.
These skills are framed within the following core blocks:

What career opportunities will you have?
Graduates in human nutrition and dietetics will be able to professionally practice as dieticians and nutritionists in clinical and residential settings, community or public health environments, mass catering, the food industry, the advice/marketing industry, and teaching and research. The degree provides students with the professional skills governed by Act 44/2003 of 21st November on the organisation of health professions. According to the manual for the Degree in Human Nutriton and Dietetics (National Quality Assurance and Accreditation Assessement Agency) on career opportunities, the professional activities of dieticians and nutritionists are mainly centred on:

Travel and Learn
