Overview of the research activity
Our research group has several objectives. Our main aim is to explore the educational, emotional, and cognitive difficulties in children with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD). Among these, we pay special attention to bullying victimization, in order to find out its predictive and protective factors. We are also interested in examining how bilingualism can modify or influence our ability to manage our attentional resources (executive control), as well as exploring its influence on language and cognition in children with language acquisition difficulties. Finally, from our research, we provide educational guidelines and good practices to disseminate our results to other institutions. Our research is divided into three sections:
α Language disorders and difficulties in school adaptation
β Bilingualism and attentional control
γ Emotional processing and normative data
