The Degree in Psychology aims to train competent, versatile professionals who promote and improve quality of life for all individuals and across all areas, as set out in the future regulatory act governing the skills and responsibilities of graduates in psychology.
It also aims to ensure students are fully prepared for subsequent postgraduate training in clinical practice and health, e.g. the Master's in General Health Psychology, as well as in the areas of education, employment and enterprise, and social intervention.
For a general overview of the different professional profiles in psychology, please see the information provided by the Spanish General Council of Psychology.
In turn, the increased social demand for professional psychologists has led to new job opportunities for graduates and those with postgraduate qualifications in different specialisations. This new reality drove the Conference of Deans of Psychology at Spanish Universities to produce an updated document on professional categories and opportunities in 2015.
