The Double Degree in Mathematics and Telematics Engineering enables students to attain all the skills and abilities from both degree programmes. This dual programme provides Balearic society with highly qualified graduates in Mathematics and Telematics Engineering thanks to the interest this dual professional profile has from a mutually beneficial standpoint.

The courses on the Degree in Mathematics are characterised by applied knowledge linked to specific problems from everyday life. The modelling subjects, related especially to mathematics, provide students with the chance to acquire inherent mathematics skills in their most applied aspect. This enables them to cover a much wider scope in their professional development.

The courses on the Degree in Telematics Engineering trains students with sufficient computer and telecommunication skills to design, develop and maintain telematic systems, applications and services. Telematics engineers oversee data transmission network design, packet transmission network technologies, communication protocols, internet, telephone switching and signalling, telematics system architecture and operating systems, web servers and data protection services on communication networks.

The training on both degree courses simultaneously enables students to apply modelling tools to analyse and solve telecommunication problems, thanks to a solid, theoretical mathematical foundation. In turn, thanks to the knowledge in telematics, mathematical training is accompanied by a highly practical aspect. This dual programme trains future graduates for professional work as a mathematician and telematics engineer with a new interdisciplinary, multi-role focus that is ever further in demand in today's society.
