Learning Goals
The main goals on the Master's Degree in Global Health are as follows:
- Providing comprehensive, multidisciplinary training to approach, design, plan and implement activities in light of global health challenges in a continuously evolving social reality and health services
- Providing skills for graduates to join health organisations, institutions and services across all areas of global health, as analysts, managers, technicians, trainers or planners
- Analysing the factors affecting global population health with a focus on the most vulnerable groups and health inequalities, as well as their link to lifelong service resources and organisation
- Providing a cooperative and multidisciplinary view of health with comprehensive perspectives in different areas, and cultural, political and economic heterogeneity and diversity, in light of future threats to global health and in line with the SDGs.
Graduate Profile
Professional: The programme is not geared towards professional profiles although the skills provided ensure graduates will be able to join health organisations, institutions and services across all areas of global health, as analysts, managers, technicians, trainers or planners.
Moreover, the research skills on the programme will enable them to combine research and clinical practice. This is an essential aspect for advances to be made in health services, as well as professional development and promotion, in today’s context.
Academic: Graduates from the programme will have attained MECES level 3 advanced skills in health science research, with the relevant academic abilities and capabilities.
Research: The programme provides the necessary skills and abilities for admission to PhD programmes, in accordance with RD 99/2011.
