Master's Degree in Environmental Radiation Protection

Academic year 2024-25

The CAIB’s authorisation to introduce the master’s programme (Article 27.1 of RD 822/2021) is currently being processed.

In order to be awarded the Master’s Degree in Environmental Radiation Protection, students must pass 60 credits as follows:

  • 30 credits from the ten mandatory subjects. These courses will be taught live online so that students and lecturers coincide at the same time, albeit at different centres
  • 10 mandatory credits from face-to-face and tutored lab practicals at the university where students have enrolled
  • 6 credits from external academic placements run in-person at sector businesses that have signed a training collaboration agreement, or in laboratories at any of the participating universities other than where students have enrolled. Once again, the choice of business or organisation, as well as the proposed work to be undertaken, must come from a combination of available places, possible future perspectives for development, interests and advice provided by tutors
  • 14 credits from the master’s thesis. The thesis content will be based on student selection supervised by their tutors. The teaching format for the master’s thesis subject is face-to-face.
