Brief CV
Avelina Miquel Lara is a tenured lecturer at the University of the Balearic Islands and holds a PhD in Education (2020). Her research focuses on the history of education, with an innovative approach to the use of historical photography as a pedagogical resource and its impact on educational memory, as well as on the theory and practice of Public History. She has participated in projects of national and international relevance.
She is part of the Department of Pedagogy and Specific Didactics and is a member of several scientific societies, including the Societat d'Història de l'Educació dels Països de Llengua Catalana (SHEPLLC), the Spanish Society for the History of Education (SEDHE), the Spanish Society for the Study of Historical-Educational Heritage (SEPHE), and the International Standing Conference for the History of Education (ISCHE).
