BSc+MSc degree in Physics (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) and PhD in Physics (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, 2009). Postdoctoral stays at CBPF (Brasil), CRM (Barcelona) and IFISC (Mallorca). Assistant Professor (2010-2013) at the department of applied mathematics, ETSIAE (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid). Tenured Professor (Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Reader in Applied Mathematics) at Queen Mary University of London, United Kingdom (2013-2021). Research stays at University of Oxford (2012) and UCLA (2017). Currrently, I am a Tenured Scientist (Científico Titular) at CSIC, based at IFISC (Mallorca).
80+ papers in leading international journals (Nature Communications, PNAS, PRX, PRL, etc) cited over 4500 times (Google Scholar). Awarded the internatoinal USERN prize in Forrmal Sciences, 2019.
Research Lines: Complex Systems, methods for data analysis, network science, time series analysis.
