Full Professor at the Business Department, Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB) since 2011. He worked as a senior economist at the Bank of Spain from 2003-2010, currently on leave. Doctor in Economics and Management of Organizations University of Zaragoza (2010) and Master in Finance at CEMFI (2003). Teaching experience in graduate and postgraduate courses at UIB and Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Research topics focus on banking, financial crisis and corporate finance, with publications in high-ranked journals of Economics and Finance that have been presented in national and international conferences. Principal researcher of projects financed by public and private entities; his researched has been awarded with grants from different institutions. He has supervised a PhD thesis at the Doctorate of Economics and Management Organization (UIB-UAB-UPNA)), and he has participated in several Working Groups at the European Central Bank. He also has served as vice-dean of the Faculty of Economics at UIB during 7 years.
