Brief CV

Dr. Valeria Eim is a Contract Lecturer at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) since 2018. Member of the Agrofood Engineering research group of the UIB, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a PhD in Chemical science and technology, both from the UIB.

Her main research interests are based on the following fields: natural antioxidants in food; effects of processing, storage and preservation of natural antioxidants; valorization of agro-food by-products; characterization of products with appellation of origin; application of new technologies in the agro-food sector.

She has been recognized 1 investigation period ("sexenios") by the CNEAI and awarded a supplementary encouragement remuneration and her investigative activity was recognized by the AQUIB (CAIB).

Dr Eim published 22 scientific articles in journals indexed in the JCR of the Science Citation Index, of which 19 have an impact factor (according to the year of publication) that places them in the first quartile (Q1) and 3 in the second quartile (Q2). Taking as reference the Web of Science (Thomson & Reuters), these articles have been cited in 297 occasions (with 92% of external citations), being her current h-index of 10. According to Scopus database, she has 311 citations and h-index of 11.
