Elena Gervilla is an Associate Professor at the Area of Methodology of the Behavioral Sciences at the Department of Psychology (University of the Balearic Islands, Spain).

She has been teaching subjects in the area of Methodology and Statistics since 2002. She is currently teaching statistical subjects in the University of the Balearic Islands.

She is part of the Research Group in Data Analysis (GRAD) at the University of the Balearic Islands and the group 'Statistical and psychometric procedures applied in Health Sciences' affiliated to the Institute for Health Research of the Balearic Islands. Her research has focused on projects aimed at health, prevention, and promotion of healthy behaviours. She has collaborated in the evaluation of interventions to improve mental health in different groups, from health professionals to people with pathologies such as depression or diabetes, as well as in the prevention of addictive and suicidal behaviours in young populations. This comprehensive evaluation has integrated qualitative and quantitative techniques to ensure a complete analysis. In addition, she has participated in the development and evaluation of the use of technology to promote healthy habits.

She is part of the management team of the European Society for Prevention Research (EUSPR).
