Brief CV
Dr. Carme Pinya Medina, professor in the Department of Applied Pedagogy and Educational Psychology at the University of the Balearic Islands since the academic year 2008-2009.
Teacher of Early Childhood Education (2003) and Psychopedagogist (2005) at the University of the Balearic Islands. PhD in Educational Sciences (2012) in the Programme for Research and Innovation in Education.
Teacher in the area of Didactics and School Organisation; teaching in subjects related to teaching strategies and teaching innovation in the Master's Degree and the Master's Degree in Teacher Training at the UIB, among others. In addition, she provides training in educational centres and has participated in a total of 14 teaching innovation projects at the UIB and also at the UB, of which she has led 4. She is the author of different teaching materials and coordinator of the collection of Good practices in teaching environments at the UIB. She currently has five years of recognised teaching experience.
At management level, she has been the coordinator of internships for the Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education at the UIB since 2020; coordinator of the University Expert Course in Higher Education Teaching Techniques and performs tasks in the University's own academic management committees.
Member of the Education and Citizenship research group, currently working on research lines on teacher training, teaching methodologies, teaching identity in early childhood education, educational innovation and itineraries of success and abandonment in vocational training, all of them reflected in the publication of research papers that allow the dissemination and transfer of knowledge. He is currently co-PI of the project 'Teaching practice and the prevention of early dropout from vocational training: empirical approach and intervention proposal' (Ref. PID2019-108342RB-I00) (2020-2023), 2019 National R&D&I Programme. She has a recognised research track (sexenni).
