Dr. Juan Jesús Fiol Arbós has been professor in the Inorganic Chemistry area (Department of Chemistry) at the UIB since 1984. His research is focused on the study of interactions between biologically relevant molecules and transition metal cations, as well as synthesis and structural characterization of modified adenines. It belongs to the group of Bioinorganic and Bioorganic Chemistry. He has presented 80 communications to international (38) and National (42) conferences. He has taught a Key Lecture at the 11th European Biological Inorganic Chemistry Conference (Granada, 2012) and 1 oral communication at COST D20. WG 0006-01. (Palma, 2002). He has published 92 research articles in impact journals, which have received 1,346 citations. Average appointments in the last 5 years: 39.5; Total Q1: 25; Index H: 21. Regarding the training of young scientists: he has directed or co-directed 6 Doctoral Theses, 2 Research Reports, 4 Bachelor Theses, 8 Final Master's Projects and 6 TFG.
