He holds a Ph.D. in Construction Engineering with an international mention, awarded by the Universitat Politècnica de València in 2013, as well as a Master's degree in Concrete Engineering obtained in 2011 from the same institution. His education is further supplemented with a degree in Civil Engineering (2008, Universitat Politècnica de València) and another in Technical Public Works Engineering (2002, University of Alicante).

Currently, he is dedicated to teaching structures and is an active member of the 'Construction and Structures Engineering' research group.

His research work has been directed towards the study of the behavior of reinforced concrete structures under seismic actions. In this field, he has developed and analyzed experimental studies on the strengthening of columns and beam-column joints using various techniques, always aiming to reduce susceptibility to damage or collapse in the event of earthquakes. Today, he is focused on the applications of shape-memory alloys in structural engineering.

Throughout his career, he has undertaken work in various areas of structural engineering, including forensic engineering, stability of historical buildings, design of metro lines and stations, construction of residential and industrial buildings, implementation of special foundations, and design and assembly of prefabricated structures.
