Brief CV
Stella Ville is an associate professor at the Department of Modern Languages at the University of the Balearic Islands and a member of the Interdisciplinary Speech, Language and Acquisition Laboratory (ISLA-Lab).
She holds a bachelor's degree in English Studies (Université Montpellier III), a master's in Translation and cultural mediation (Université Toulouse II), and another master's in foreign language didactics (Université d'Angers). She is currently working on her Ph.D. in English pronunciation didactics with Petar Guberina's verbotonal method. Her supervisors are Dra. Lucrecia Rallo-Fabra (UIB) and Daniel Frost (UGA).
She regularly trains teachers to use the verbotonal method in class. She also created teaching materials for both French and English as a second language teaching, shares with her community on social networks @francofolieFLE. She is also a student at the Music Conservatory in Palma de Mallorca.
Areas of interest include: second language teaching and learning, phonetics and pronunciation didactics, musical, theatrical and embodied approaches to language teaching, voice, phonetical identity.
