E. Guillermo Iglesias Díaz is Lecturer in English (Profesor Contratado Doctor Interino) at the University of the Balearic Islands since September 2019. He is a member of the research group LITANGLO: Contemporary Anglophone Literatures at the U. of Balearic Islands, as well as of the interdisciplinary group BIFEGA: Literary and Cultural Studies, Translation and Interpretation at the University of Vigo. His research focuses on the interaction between post-/transmodernism and postcolonialism in film fiction narratives, paying special attention to the role of cinema in European discourses on national and gender constructions. Most of his research production analyses cinematographic fiction narratives from postcolonial and feminist perspectives.
