Brief CV

Dr Sandro Meloni is currently Staff Researcher (Científico Titular) at the Institute for Cross-Disciplinary Physics and Complex Systems (IFISC) of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and University of Balearic Islands (UIB). Before he held an Assistant Professor position (Ramon y Cajal fellow) at the Department of theoretical physics of the University of Zaragoza in Spain. his research interests cover most areas of Complex Systems, Network Science and Nonlinear Dynamics. Currently, he focuses on dynamical systems on networks with a special interest for Spreading Processes, Evolutionary Game Theory and Population Dynamics.
In his works he combines the theoretical approaches typical of Statistical Physics with numerical simulations and large-scale data analysis. During his research career, he published more than 40 scientific papers totalizing more than 2000 citations. He has also been invited to give more than 15 keynotes and lectures at international conferences. In 2017 he has been awarded the Junior Scientific Award of the Complex Systems Society.
