Bachelor in European Economic Studies from the University of Bamberg (2004), Master in Econometrics from the University of Maastricht (2006) and Doctor in Economics from the Carlos III University of Madrid (2012).

Teaching experience in undergraduate and graduate studies at the Carlos III University of Madrid, the University of Vienna, the University of Yekaterinburg, the University of Lapland, and the University of the Balearic Islands. His last subjects taught are 'Statistical Learning and Decision Making' in the Master's Degree in Big Data Analysis of the University of the Balearic Islands and 'Macroeconometrics' in the Degree in Business Administration of the University of the Balearic Islands.

Researcher specialized in theoretical econometrics and time series analysis, meta-analysis, and statistics. He has participated in competitive research projects at the national level, for example funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation. He has published in the Scandinavian Journal of Statistics, Statistica Sinica, Computational Statistics and Data Analysis, Econometrics & Statistics, Current Issues in Tourism, The World Economy, Research Synthesis Methods, Tourism Economics and Journal of Business & Economics Statistics.
