Bachelor in Catalan Philology (1998), Post-graduate in German Studies (2004, special award), Master in Foreign Language Teaching (2010) and PhD in Catalan Philology (2013, special doctoral award) at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili for the doctoral thesis Estudi i edició crítica de les consuetes del Dijous Sant (núm. 19, 27, 38 i 43), del Divendres Sant (núm. 20, 28, 39 i 43), del Davallament de la Creu (núm. 21, 41 i 49) i de la Resurrecció (núm. 22) del Manuscrit Llabrés (Ms. 1139 de la Biblioteca de Catalunya), supervised by Dr. Francesc Massip i Bonet. She has taught at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (2001-2017), at the Universität Bremen, Germany (2012-2017), at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2008-2013) and at the Ateneu Universitari Sant Pacià (2016/2017, 2018/2019, 2020/2021 and 2022/2023). She is coauthor of Serrallonga, Déu vos guard. Història, cultura i tradició del bandoler Joan Sala, àlies Serrallonga (2004), El baile: conjuro ante la muerte. Presencia de lo macabro en la danza y la fiesta popular (2004) and La teatralitat medieval i la seva pervivència (2017) and has published articles and reviews in journals such as Catalan Writing, Estudis Romànics, European Medieval Drama, Revista de Catalunya, Revue des Langues Romanes i Zeitschrift für Katalanistik. She has been the curator of the Folch i Torres Centenary (2016), general secretary (2004-2007 and 2013-2019) and president (2019-2022) of the Société Internationale pour l'étude du Théâtre Médiéval, and Vice-Dean and Head of Studies of the Degree in Catalan Language and Literature of the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts of the University of the Balearic Islands (2020/2021). At present she is Contract Lecturer with a PhD at the Department of Catalan Philology and General Linguistics of the University of the Balearic Islands. Since December 2022, she has been part of the family of Benedictine Oblates of Montserrat.


Research

She belongs to the research team FILOHUMSIDOR (Filología y Humanismo en el Siglo de Oro) of the l'Institut d'Estudis Hispànics en la Modernitat (https://iehm.uib.cat/) and is member of the Centre de Recerca en Arts Escèniques (UAB).

She has participated in the performance-base European theatre research project 'Theatres of Persuasion in the Long Sixteenth Century' (2017-2020), focused on morality plays and aimed at combining academic research and re-enactments of early plays in different European languages.

She has co-directed the research project 'Estudis interdisciplinaris sobre la dansa a l'edat mitjana i moderna. Fonts, formes, significat i pervivències' (Interdisciplinary studies on dance in the medieval and early modern era), Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD), Competitive Call for 'Acciones Conjuntas Hispano-Alemanas/PPP Spain', 2014-2015, in cooperation with the Justus-Liebig-Universität Gieβen (Germany), which has culminated in the creation of a database and an exhibition that has been shown in Germany, Switzerland, Great Britain, Romania and Hungary.

She has participated in the research projects 'Choreutic Heterotopias: Dance and Performance in the Visual and Literary Culture of the Mediterranean from Late Antiquity to Middle Ages (HECO)' (HAR2017-85625-P 2018-2020) and 'Monastic Landscapes. Representations and virtualisations of Medieval spiritual and material realities in the Western Mediterranean (6th-16th centuries)' (PG2018-095350-B-100, 2019-2022).
