Brief CV

I was graduated in Geography for the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) in 2014. This year I started to collaborate and work with the Mediterranean Ecogeomorphological and Hydrological Connectivity Research Team (MEDhyCON) managing the hydrometric network of the autonomous Government of the Balearic Islands. In 2015, I carried out my master studies entitled Analysis, Planning and Manage of Coastal Areas at the same university. With the MEDhyCON research group, I was granted to start the PhD focused on the hydrological response and suspended sediment transport in Mediterranean catchments. Within the PhD I carried out three stays at the École Polytechnique Féderale de Lausanne (2016), University of Potsdam (2017) and the Water Research Council in Bari (2018). During these years, I applied the Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE) to Mallorca island for the Autonomous Government of the Balearic Islands and I worked on the European Project Tribute Trigger Buffer for Inundation Events (TRIBUTE). Besides I am member of the Cooperation Project OPTIMISM Project-Erosion and sediment transport processes: analysis and modelling at different scales in the upstream part of Oum Rabiaa catchment-A case study from the Oued Srou Basin (Middle Atlas-Morocco). The aim project is increase the scientific knowledge on hydrology and sediment transport in Bin El Ouidane catchment, applying spatial analysis of variables related to the soil erodibility, human, climate, environment relationships and links with silting of the dam. In addition, I am research member of the Spanish national project MEDhyCON-2, which moves beyond the current knowledge on ecogeomorphic response of Mediterranean landscapes to global change. Since 2019 I'm involved within the COST Action Science and Management of Intermittent Rivers and Ephemeral Streams (SMIRES) in the Working Group 1: Prevalence, distribution and trends of IRES. At the University of the Balearic Islands, I am teaching Global Ecology, Territorial Resources and Coastal Geomorphology to biology and geography degree.
