Barcelona (1968). Civil Engineer specialty in Soil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (1996). He was professor of the UPC between 1998 and 2000. Its professional scope is project management. He currently directs projects and works in Insular Department of Roads in the Council of Mallorca. He joined the UIB in 2008 as an assistant professor. Lecturer Geotechnical and Foundations, teaches in the Bachelor of Construction. His research focuses on slope stability analysis and numerical calculation models, and has more than fifteen articles, contributions in books and conference presentations. It also researches in the field of building technologies. At present his research focuses on the study of the possible applications of shape memory alloys in structural engineering. He has worked in various national and international research programs.
