Marta Villalba is a PhD Assistant Professor at the UIB of the UIB Department of English Philology. She tutors final degree projects and teaches English in the double degree of Tourism and Ade. She has a PhD in Philology from the UIB with international mention (2018), a Bachelor of Law (1986) and English Philology (2013) from the UIB and a Master in Modern Languages and Literatures (2014- UIB and Bangor University). She developed her professional career as a lawyer at the legal services firm EY (former partner of EY). She is a member of the Modern and Contemporary Anglophone Literatures research group. She has published in specialized magazines such as Law & Literature, Studies in Theater and Performance, Women in Judaism, RAUDEM and various book chapters in publishers such as Aranzadi and Routledge. Currently, she focuses his research work on Victorian and postcolonial literatures in relation to legislative changes and the reception of the classics.
Since April 2022, she is the UIB's Director of International and Cooperation Development.
