Law degree from the University of Pavia (Italy), Master in International and European Public Law at the University of Paris XI (France) and specialization course in International Humanitarian Law at ICRC (Switzerland).
Her career has developed as a lawyer at the UN: in UNESCO (Paris, 2000-2001), WHO (Geneva, 2002-2004) and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (Geneva, 2004-2010). In this context, she has conducted research and fact-finding missions on the ground (Africa, Asia, Latin America), and has participated in conferences and congresses. Since 2011 she has taught workshops and courses on human rights and international law in several autonomous communities in Spain, as well as courses in the UIB. Since 2013 she is assistant professor at the UIB in the area of Public International Law.
She has focused her research particularly on international law relating to trafficking in human beings, racial and gender discrimination, access to justice, human rights approach in development cooperation, and human rights and bioethics.
