PhD in Nutrition and Food Sciences from the University of the Balearic Islands. Member of the Community Nutrition and Oxidative Stress Research Group at the University of the Balearic Islands, part of Ciber-OBN (Pathophysiology of Obesity and Nutrition) of the Carlos III Health Institute, and the Health Research Institute of the Balearic Islands (IDISBA). Graduated in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Granada and holds a Master's degree in Nutrigenomics and Personalized Nutrition from the University of the Balearic Islands. Has experience as a research technician in the Department of Fundamental Biology and Health Sciences in the area of Physiology at the University of the Balearic Islands. Additionally, she has participated as a researcher in several publicly funded national and international research projects. She is the first author of the 4 initial articles comprising her doctoral thesis, which links environmental sustainability with food sustainability, and the first author of 1 article written during her doctoral stay, as well as co-author of 17 other scientific articles published in impact factor journals. In 2023, she completed a three-month stay at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Belgrade (Serbia) to obtain the international mention for her doctorate. She has also served as an associate lecturer at Universidad Católica de Ávila (teaching 15 hours) and at the University of the Balearic Islands (teaching 8 hours). Furthermore, she has supervised 7 undergraduate dissertations at Universidad Católica de Ávila and 2 master’s theses at the University of the Balearic Islands. Before starting her research career, she undertook a three-month stay providing health-nutrition assistance in India at Kasturba Medical Hospital in Manipal and a six-month Erasmus+ stay at VIA University College. Lastly, she has experience as a clinical dietitian-nutritionist in hospital nutrition, private practice, and the field of food safety.
