Laura Capitán Moyano has a Graduate Degree in Nursing (UIB, 2017) and a Master's Degree in Research in Health and Quality of Life (UIB, 2019).

His healthcare experience has been mostly linked to pediatric care, especially in neonatal critical care units.

Currently, she is an assistant professor in the Department of Nursing and Physiotherapy of the University of the Balearic Islands and a doctoral student in the Doctorate program in Global Health, Health Services, and Social Health Care with a doctoral thesis project on food insecurity in adolescents. She is also the coordinator of internship scholarships within the framework of cooperation in the Nursing Degree.

She is a member of the research group Global Health and Sustainable Human Development (Global_Health).

Her research interests include global health, health inequities, community-based participatory methodologies for the development of interventions, and food insecurity in children and adolescents.
