Magí Trobat Fullana has been a Ph.D. student at the University of the Balearic Islands since September 2022. He received a national scholarship and signed a pre-doc contract to undertake his research and write his thesis.

• Master Program in Economics for Tourism: Monitoring and Evaluation, also offered at the Universitat de les Illes Balears (2020).

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

• UIB's Social Council Awards 2018 for his Bachelor Thesis, "The Collapse and Recovery of the World's Tourism Industry during the Global Recession."
• His Master Thesis: "CAN TOURISM SPECIALISATION DETERIORATE HUMAN CAPITAL?" analyzes the relationship between the tourism specialization of 30 European countries and its Human Development using a Tourism Specialization Index of own elaboration.
• Now: Research the productivity and the functioning of business groups' internal capital and human resource markets.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• PhD student and investment and financial planning lecturer at the University of the Balearic Islands.
• He is a financial and economic analyst at mortgage consultancy firm Futur Finances, where he works with Futur Legal's team of lawyers and economists.
• Founder of Alturisme, a tourism intermediation brand managing tourist properties and conducting tourism market research.
• He worked as an associate professor at the Universitat de les Illes Balears from 2019 until his pre-doc research contract began. He used to teach financial accounting courses for the Bachelor's Degree in Business Management (GADE) and Tourism (GTUR).
• Professional experience in travel agencies and bedbanks related to accounting management, data analysis, and visualization.
