Brief CV

Tomás is the Director of the UIB Decision Science Laboratory. He received his doctorate in Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Spain) in 2009. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Dynamic Decision Making Laboratory in Carnegie Mellon University (USA), and later a Visiting Associate Professor at the Universitat de les Illes Balears (Spain). From 2013 to 2016, Tomás was a Research Scientist at the Center for Adaptive Rationality in the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin (Germany). He is interested in how individuals and groups explore, process, and integrate descriptive (symbolic information) and personally experienced information when making decisions.
