Born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Senior Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Economics of the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB). Bachelor in Economics at the University of La Laguna (ULL, 2004), Master in Economics and Econometrics at the University of Kent (2007) and PhD in Economics at the ULL (2010).

Teaching experience in undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate studies at the UIB and the ULL in the subjects of Macroeconomics, Economic Structure and Tourism Economics. Researcher specialize in issues related to the International Economy (international trade, tourism economy and exchange rates). She has published in various national and international journals as Journal of Travel Research, Tourism Management, the World Economy, Empirical Economics, Economic Modeling or Annals of Tourism Research. He has participated in several competitive national research projects (both as researcher and I.P.) and has visit the University of Nottingham (United Kingdom) and the University of Stellenbosch (South Africa). Member of the research group in International Economics and treasurer of the Spanish Association of Economics and International Finance (AEEFI).
