Brief CV

Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Fundamental Biology and Health Sciences at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB). Teaches in Pharmacy, Nursing and Biochemistry degrees, as well as master's seminars and undergraduate thesis supervision. Member of the TERCIT research group (Cell Therapy and Tissue Engineering), affiliated with both UIB and the Balearic Islands Health Research Institute (IdISBa).

Holds a PhD in Translational Research in Public Health and Prevalent Diseases from UIB, with international distinction and cum laude honors. The PhD thesis focused on the use of extracellular vesicles as a cell-free regenerative therapy for cartilage repair in osteoarthritis. Academic background includes degree in Biochemistry, and Master's Degree in Advanced Microbiology, in Teacher Training for Secondary Education and Graphic Design.

Completed a research stay at Reykjavik University (Iceland) and served as quality control lead for Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) manufactured under GMP conditions at the Balearic Islands Tissue Bank and IdISBa (2023–2024).

Author of over ten scientific publications in high-impact journals, contributor to competitive research projects, and regular presenter at national and international scientific conferences. Recipient of awards such as the IdISBa Best PhD Thesis Award and the UIB 2nd Agenda 2030 Prize. Also active in science communication and scientific illustration through her independent graphic design studio Illustrate Science.
