Tenured contract senior lecturer in Physical Geography in the Department of Geography at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB).
Secretary of the Observatory of Natural Risks and Emergencies of the Balearic Islands - RiscBal. Consolidated Researcher at RiscBal and the Environmental Radioactivity Laboratory (LaboRA).
Graduate in Geography (2015) from the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), with an extraordinary award. Master's Degree in Environmental Change: Analysis and Management (2015-2016) from the University of Girona (UDG) - Institut de Medi Ambient (IMA). Postgraduate: University Expert in University Teaching Techniques (2020, University of the Balearic Islands - 16 ECTS).
PhD in Geography from the University of the Balearic Islands (2021). I completed my PhD with a University Teacher Training contract - FPU; Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports (FPU15/05239) - at the Department of Geography of the University of the Balearic Islands. The result was a thesis by compendium of research papers entitled ‘Sediment fingerprinting and hydro-sedimentary monitoring as tools for catchment management in Mediterranean environments’, obtaining an Excellent Cum Laude distinction with an international mention. During the doctoral period, I spent two three-month stays abroad (6 months in total). More specifically at the Luxembourg Institute for Science and Technology (LIST), Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg; funded by competitive grants from the Secretary of State for Universities, Research, Development and Innovation.
My lines of research focus on fluvial geomorphology, hydrology, sediment dynamics and natural hazards, highlighting the work carried out in the field of sediment tracing using spectrometric techniques and radioisotope activity. I have published a total of 23 articles in scientific journals, 20 of them indexed in Journal Citation Reports: 16 in first quartile journals (Q1) and 4 in the second quartile (Q2), as well as 3 book chapters and 2 article in a scientific outreach journal. I have also participated in more than 50 oral communications or posters at national and international conferences. I have been a member of the research or work team on 12 national and European projects.
Finally, I have taught more than 1000 hours in different university degrees, including 42 hours of international university teaching.
