Brief CV
Permanent lecturer at the Universitat de les Illes Balears from 2023.
He holds a degree in History, with extraordinary award, from the Universitat de les Illes Balears (2012). He also studied the Master Degree in Teacher Training at the Universitat de les Illes Balears (2013) and the Inter-University Master Degree in Medieval European Identity, specialising in the Historical Construction of Europe, coordinated by the Universitat de Lleida (2014). He holds a PhD in History from the Universitat de Lleida, with extraordinary prize (2018).
His main line of research is the history of the Church in the late Middle Ages, especially in the Crown of Aragon. In this field he has studied the cathedral chapters from different perspectives, the organisations of medieval dioceses and monasticism in Mallorca. Another line of research is the history of education and culture during the Ancien Régime. He has also worked on other subjects related to the Middle Ages, such as medieval health, papal diplomacy, aspects of Lullism and the image of the Middle Ages in the present day.
He is the author of some thirty articles and twenty book chapters, and has been the author or editor of six books. He has also participated in four competitive research projects and is a member of two research groups. He has also carried out research stays at the Pontificia Università Antonianum in Rome and at the University of Oxford (UK).
