Dr. Xavier Capó Fiol is a member of the Research Group on Community Nutrition and Oxidative Stress (NUCOX) in the University of Balearic Islands. Dr. Capó started his researcher career in 2011 in this group, concretely in the field of exercise and oxidative stress. Dr. Capó has published a total of 37 original manuscripts in international journals and he has contributed to 3 book chapters. He has also presented a total of 33 communications in national and international congresses.
Dr. Capó has collaborated as a researcher in a total of 5 projects and he also owns a part of a national patent together with other NUCOX members. This patent has been extended to the European area.
During two academic years (2017-2018 and 2018-2019), Dr. Capó has taught lessons in the University of Balearics Islands, concretely in the Biochemistry degree and in a Master's degree (Human Nutrition and Quality of Food Program).
Dr. Capó has extensive experience in the determination of inflammatory and oxidative stress markers. Furthermore, he has taken part in diverse studies aimed at determining pollution biomarkers in marine organisms.
Dr. Capó has been a member of the organizing committee in WGs International Meeting of the NutRedOx COST Action CA16112 in February 2018. Dr. Capó has also been a reviewer in two international Journals (Environmental pollution andMedicine&Science in Sports &Exercise).
