PhD in Education Sciences, degree in Political Science and Sociology, graduated in Social Education. He has been a sociologist and community technician in the City Council of Palma and in various entities, directing, advising and developing community projects of applied social research. Scientific Advisor in Participatory Action Research at the Marchioni Marchioni Institute (Community, Participation and Development); deputy director of the Union of Associations and Centres for Assistance to the Disabled of the Balearic Islands. Professor at the UIB during the period 2008-2017 and since the 2020/21 academic year. He is also a tutor professor at the UNED since 2004 and a collaborating professor at the UOC.

He has participated in different research projects related to the educational and social field. He is currently a member of the Education and Citizenship research group of the UIB.

His main lines of research: Community development and intervention, teaching and educational function, social representations, discourse analysis, immigration and social inequality.
