Brief CV
Ramón Pujol Nadal (Palma, 1978) is Full Professor in the area of Mechanical Engineering at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), where he also serves as Deputy Director of the Polytechnic School and Academic Coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Industrial and Automatic Electronic Engineering.
He holds a PhD in Physics from the UIB and has over 15 years of university teaching experience in engineering bachelor's and master's programs. He has supervised three PhD theses and more than 30 undergraduate and master's final projects.
His research focuses on medium-concentration solar thermal energy and perovskite solar cells. He is the author of 24 JCR-indexed journal articles, has delivered 40 contributions at international conferences, and is co-inventor of two international patents. He has led five competitive research projects at regional, national, and European levels, and is the developer of the open-source software OTSun for the optical analysis of solar systems.
He is a member of international scientific and standardization committees (IEA, IEC, AENOR) in the field of solar energy, and of the Expert Committee on Energy Transition of the Balearic Government. He also collaborates as a reviewer for over 15 scientific journals and participates in the evaluation of the national university entrance exam in the area of Technology and Engineering.
