Born in Ibiza (1968). Professor at the Applied Economics Department of the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB). BSc in Economics and Business Administration (1994), MSc in Taxation, and PhD in Economics and Business Administration (2004) at the University of Valencia.

Teaching experience in graduate and postgraduate studies, both at the National Distance Education University (UNED) and at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB).

Her Doctoral Thesis revolved around labour participation of women in Social Economy entities. Other research interests are the social balance in the non-profit sector, corporate social responsibility and volunteerism. She has published several articles in national and international journals specialized in the field of Social Economy, such as "CIRIEC-España, Revista de Economía Pública, Social y Cooperativa", "REVESCO-Revista de Estudios Cooperativos" and "Review of International Co-operation", as well as several book chapters.

She has participated in various research projects at the regional and national level, such as "Fiscalidad óptima, contrato social y los cuatro mundos del estado de bienestar", "La dimensión interna de la responsabilidad social de las empresas españolas en un contexto de crisis: análisis cuantitativo" and "La estructura de un moderno estado del bienestar: en búsqueda de un modelo óptimo".
