Curriculum
Brief CV
Dr. María del Carmen Rotger is Senior Lecturer in the Organic Chemistry Area and a member of the Supramolecular Chemistry research group.
His research is aimed at the study of supramolecular forces, especially the interactions of cations and anions with aromatic systems and the recognition of anionic species with squaramídic receptors. In recent years she has focused his research work on the synthesis and study of the conformal properties of squaramide compounds and the evaluation of their biological activity as anti-tumor, antiparasitic or transport agents.
She has participated in 15 competitive research projects and two national Networks of Excellence. The results of the research activity are reflected in the publication of 54 articles in international journals (47 in Q1, index h=24, mean quotations per article s 36.93 (web of science)), 63 communications to national and international conferences, and 5 patents.
She has directed 5 doctoral theses and 6 master's degree works. She has been awarded with five five-year teaching periods, four six year research periods and one six-year knowledge transfer.
She has participated in 4 IRIE-UIB teaching innovation projects and has been responsible for 3 chemistry outreach projects funded by the CAIB.
She holds the management positions of the Master's Degree in Chemical Science and Technology of the UIB, Secretary of the Department of Chemistry and chair of the Academic Commission of the Doctoral Program in Science and Chemical Technology.
