Tenured contract senior lecturer of Theory and History of Education at the University of Balearic Islands. He is member of the competitive research group History of Education Studies Group (gedhe.uib.cat). He has focused his research in Contemporary History of Education related to the sociability and non-formal education. The results of his research have been published in scientific journals and edited volumes. He teaches in university degrees of Pedagogy, Social Education and Primary School Studies in matters such as theories and institutions of education and contemporary educational thought. He is a member of several scientific societies: Societat d'Història de l'Educació dels Països en Llengua Catalana and Sociedad Española de Historia de la Educación, he was secretary of the journal Educació i Història and he is member of the editorial board and scientific committee of the journals Espacio, Tiempo y Educación and Foro de Educación.
